DRIVERS using the A83 trunk road through Tarbert have been advised to leave extra time for journeys over the next three weeks as £380,000 worth of road improvements are carried out.
The work, by trunk road maintenance firm BEAR Scotland, will be carried out west of Tarbert in two phases.
During the first phase, from Monday May 16 to Friday May 20, a pavement will be improved and the road resurfaced between 7am and 7pm. A convoy system will be in place while the daytime works are carried out, and removed outside working hours. The second phase, from Sunday May 22 to Thursday May 26, will involve overnight work from 7pm to 6am - during which period the road will be closed.
