WITH the proclamation: ‘Let the strawberry tea begin,’ Audrey MacDougall opened the popular fundraiser.

A member of Argyll Talking Newspapers committee, visually impaired Audrey had come from Dunoon specially to open the event.

The weather on Saturday was good enough for people to get out and about and into the Baptist Church Hall in Lochgilphead. They were greeted by George, one of the volunteers, as they made their way into the hall, stopping to try their luck at the bottle stall, then to choose their prize at the Chinese raffle.
