THE END of the Tesco Bank Summer Reading Challenge is to be marked with an awards ceremony at Lochgilphead library.
Aimed at primary-aged children, the sponsored initiative encouraged youngsters to visit their local library and read books over the school summer holidays in a fun way. There were stickers to collect and other incentives such as bookmarks and keyrings for kids to receive when they visited the library.
This year the theme was ‘The Big Friendly Read’ which celebrated children’s writer Roald Dahl.
