An Arran woodworker and chainsaw artist is rapidly gathering attention for his sculpted artworks dotted around the island. Mark Bunyan’s latest work of art - two owls near Brodick primary school - has become an overnight sensation as visitors photograph and discuss the roadside attraction. Mark, who used to work in forestry and as a tree surgeon, is somewhat of a wood aficionado so when a large larch tree came down during a storm, he recognised the weather resistant wood as ideal for a planned expansion to his garden shed.
