The Heated Debate

BIG CORPORATIONS TAKING PART IN THE PRIDE PARADE – A GOOD OR BAD THING?

Pink pound isn’t it... Simple logic. It’s not that companies or organisations think ‘Ah, yes, gay rights are worth fighting for and they deserve equality’. They go ‘Hold on a minute. The majority of these guys are spending some serious money here, no family commitments, more free cash, let’s jump on board and get involved’. Guys then think ‘Aw they love us, let’s spend some money there’. Companies go ‘Job done. Money made’.

The more companies and sponsorship the merrier in my eyes, as long as they support the gay community and stand by us all through the year and not just on the day. Also, when advertising on TV they should have a gay flag in the corner of the screen.

About Attitude

The annual Attitude Hot 100 is unveiled in this special issue, with a supplement full of 100 of the world’s hottest men as voted for by you! Who came out on top? Find out inside. Our cover features just a few of the gay celebrities featured on the list: Lance Bass, Michael Turchin, Charlie King, Sanjay Sood-Smith and Dino Fetscher. Inside we explore body image with a special presentation of ‘dad bods’, a report from the alternative East London pageant Mr Glory, and the unveiling of our new column about a compulsive overeater. We have interviews with X Factor star Andrea Faustini, pop stars MS MR, soul boy John Newman, performance legend Penny Arcade, and comedian Joe Lycett, who accompanies a full rundown of all things LGBT at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival. All this, plus the usual fun and frolics!
