Australian Railway History  |  Dec-14
The December issue of ARH features the history of the Wonnerup to Nannup branch line that served a number of timber mills in the ‘Big Timber’ country of Western Australia and Part 1 of Neville Pollard's personal history of the Harden to Cowra cross-country line in NSW. The latter focuses on the initial section of the line from Harden to Young and its latter day operations. Both articles feature excellent photographs and maps of the branch lines and track arrangements at their stations.
The issue is rounded off with Graeme Kirkby's personal account of working the nocturnal No. 52 Goods trains between Campbelltown and Clyde Yards in the Sydney Metropolitan area.
