ShareX 17
SCREEN-CAPTURE TOOL
www.snipca.com/53506
What you need: Windows 7, 8.1, 10 or 11
The Snipping Tool feature in Windows 11 is a big improvement on the Windows 10 version, offering more ways to capture the contents of your screen, including the ability to record videos. However, it still pales in comparison to the features and flexibility of ShareX, which – unlike rival screen-capture tools such as SnagIt and FastStone Capture – is completely free to use.
ShareX 17 expands and refines the program’s capabilities to make taking screenshots even easier and produce better quality results. For example, when you capture a ‘scrolling’ screenshot of an entire web page or lengthy document, choose ‘Scrolling capture’ in the Capture menu to make it ignore the bottom 50 pixels.
This means images won’t include the horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of the program window, saving you the hassle of cropping it out. ShareX now displays a Copy button after capturing a scrolling screenshot, so you can paste the whole thing into an image viewer.
