POLED
What is it?
POLED is a type of AMOLED screen, which is increasingly being used in mobile phones. First used for screens in folding phones and smartwatches, it’s now common on phones with fixed screens. This is because they’re becoming cheaper to make, and can be fitted with smaller bezels, thanks to their ability to bend around edges. As a result they’ve started to appear on low-cost phones, such as the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion (£280 from www.snipca. com/52997, reviewed in Issue 699, pictured).
