We’ve been hoovering the red carpet, popping champagne corks, and polishing the awards for the Diesel Top 50 that dominates the October issue of Diesel&EcoCar. We count down from 50 all of the best diesel cars and pick-ups on sale in the UK today. See which cars are victorious on this year’s catwalk and discover the manufacturers that were went home with nothing more than their BFH (Bus Fare Home).

We’ve also been driving the updated BMW X7 with its superb 335bhp diesel engine under the reprofiled snout. We’ve also tested the Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer for the first time, got behind the wheel of the powerful new MG4 XPower, and driven Honda’s facelifted Jazz Hybrid. We’ve also got our first drive report of the Jeep Avenger on UK tarmac, tested the Vauxhall Grandland GSe, and tested the updated Lexus ES 300h.

This month’s used car buyer’s guide is all about the hugely popular Land Rover Defender and in The Generation Game we explore three different used versions of the executive Mercedes-Benz C-Class.
In the news pages, there’s the first pictures of the new Peugeot E-3008, as well as news on the MINI Cooper Electric, updated Tesla Model 3, the Renault Scenic E-Tech, MINI Countryman and BMW’s latest concept car, the Neue Klasse.

diesel, green cars, electric mag

The UK’s leading magazine for diesel, green cars, electric, hybrids and alternative fuelled vehicles, full of advice on tech, mechanics, future plans. great photos inspiring reviews Reviewed 21 August 2022

I like the way it has evolved over the years

I have been buying it in print and online since the early 2000s and I like that it always has focused on the economy end of motoring, or us cheapskates if you like. It has moved to covering hybrids and electric cars which is good, and hasn't forgotten its roots - diesels.

It's a friendly, down to early mag and Doctor Diesel is still the best bit.

Very Informative

Appears to be a great publication. Wish I could get it in print in the states. Reviewed 24 November 2012
