Meeting on a sunny afternoon in central London, the first thing I notice about Chelcee is her beaming smile. Though we’ve not met in person before, that doesn’t stop her diving straight in for a bear hug and inviting me to join her on the cosy corner sofa she’s nabbed. “How are you today, Chelcee?” I ask. “I’m happier now the sun is out!” she tells me, grinning like a kid who’s just left school for the summer. Initially signed by Sony Music six years ago, Chelcee was dropped before she had the chance to release a single. Resilient still, Chelcee spent the next few years honing her craft, and in 2017 was given that allimportant second chance…
