DAWES’ TAYLOR GOLDSMITH is one of a growing legion of young singer-songwriters who’ve become acolytes of Warren Zevon, covering his songs in concert and singing his praises to the press.
“It’s one thing to be a fan of Dylan or Joni or Springsteen,” says Goldsmith. “But when you find another Warren Zevon fan, it’s this other level of communing and connecting. Zevon does that in a way that not all artists do. Loving Zevon is almost a secret handshake.”
