AN MSP has raised alarm that Higher pupils in Lochaber may soon face exams without receiving the appropriate support.
Kate Forbes has called for urgent solutions from Highland Council (HC) after it was revealed that pupils attending the region’s biggest high school, are set to face exams on the Higher level course – despite having never been taught by a subject specialist in the new school term.
Next month scores of pupils on the Higher and National Five computing studies courses at Lochaber High School will face their January prelims, and the school has not had a specialist teacher for that particular subject since the summer.
