Kinlochleven Community Council minutes

KINLOCHLEVEN Community Council (KCC) met for its monthly meeting on Wednesday April 4. The following issues were discussed:

■ Marie Law, Lochaber district manager for the NHS Highland, addressed the meeting about Kinlochleven becoming a dementia-friendly village. The village of Helmsdale offers this holistic approach to care in its community.

The Leven Centre already offers ‘you time’, postal staff check on residents and neighbours helping. With the backing of a multi disciplinary team, KCC hopes it can make getting older a little less daunting.
