A 32-year-old man found himself in the dock at Oban Sheriff Court a Ther a complaint against a former girlfriend went wrong. Stuart George Robert Coleman, of Donmar Lodge, Albany Street, Oban, admitted assaulting his ex-partner by running towards, colliding with her and knocking her to the floor on December 6 at Shore Street Flats, Oban.
Coleman told the police: ‘I will come clean, I knocked her over.’ Sheriff Patrick Hughes was told on Monday that Coleman’s former partner and friends turned up at his That and he refused them entry. Coleman then went to complain to staThat the accommodation where she lived about her actions but an argument between the pair occurred. His defence agent Laura McManus said: ‘He collided with a wall and then collided with the complainer; no injury is libelled here.’ She said Coleman did his best to avoid his ex.
Sheriff Hughes fined him £120 and said: ‘I have listened to what has been said on your behalf and it would appear to have been out of character.’
