THE HEBRIDES Ensemble comes to Mull this weekend to perform three concerts with students from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (RCS).
William Conway, Hebrides Ensemble’s artistic director and cellist, will be joined by some of the finest young musicians from the RCS for a concert at Bunessan Hall at 1.30pm and a concert at An Tobar at 6.30pm, both on Sunday September 24. The group will then perform a special concert for pupils at Tobermory High School on Monday 25 September.
These concerts are part of the Ensemble’s Hebrides Academy programme, which offers expert coaching and performance opportunities to musicians and composers. This concert will mark the culmination of several days of coaching during which William and the students will work on a programme of contemporary and 20 century music.
