Officer assaulted during disturbance

POLICE called to a disturbance found blood smeared over the kitchen, Oban Sheriff Court was told.

It belonged to Hugh Vennard, of 89 Hannaston Avenue, Drongan, Ayrshire.

He pleaded guilty to refusing to leave a property when asked, cutting his hand with a knife and smearing blood on walls and kitchen units; assaulting constables in the execution of their duty and uttering threats of violence.
