FOOD safety inspectors in Argyll and Bute missed more than 500 hygiene intervention visits which included a number of high-risk premises, a government agency report has revealed.
The report by Food Standards Scotland (FSS) has raised serious concerns about Argyll and Bute Council’s food standards control procedures and has called for ‘urgent mitigating action’.
The findings came as part of a capacity and capability audit carried out over two days last August.
