That Oban Hospice is opening a new drop-in centre to support people with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses is great news and a testament to all the hard work that has been going on quietly in the town by many people behind the scenes.
The charity has signed a lease on a property in Stevenson Street and the new facility is to be called the Dove Centre.
As well as offering therapy, group sessions and one-to-one support for the people who are ill, it will also be there to support families and carers.
