You almost forget you’re wearing activewear with the Chrome Merino long-sleeved hoodie; it’s just so comfy. It has everything you need as a run layer, as it’s breathable, moisture wicking and, even after a long run, it’s quick drying. It’s 65 per cent Merino wool (35 per cent polyester) and machine washable, so you don’t have to worry about frequent wear. I have a size small and it sits just on the top of my thigh; I would’ve liked it a bit longer, but it’s an adapatable layer as it’s not too bulky.

This long-sleeved baselayer is super light (it weighs just 105g); so much so that it seems, on first glance, like it won’t put up much of a fight against the winter weather. However, once you’ve got it on, you’ll find it somehow does take away the early morning chill and most days it manages to do that without a second layer on top. It’s designed to be a close fit but doesn’t feel clingy or restrictive and is a flattering cut. It sits just as well under a top layer and comes in two colours: grey and paprika.
