Originally launched in 1732, The London Magazine is the UK’s oldest literary periodical, and during its long history it has published poets including John Keats, Percy Bysshe Shelley, Sylvia Plath, Ted Hughes and William Burroughs.
The London Magazine’s annual poetry competition seeks out the best new poetry to publish some of the most celebrated poets writing in English. The 2016 competition, which is now open for entries, has prizes of £300, £200 and £150.
