Linda and Richard Hannay spent five years in a constant fortnightly commute between Ireland and Scotland before they built their home on family land in Linda’s native Co. Wicklow. ‘We met in Dublin in 1997, and Richie invited me to Scotland for Hogmanay,’ says Linda. ‘There was an instant connection and that was it!’
Linda designed the kitchen as an ergonomic space. ‘I did design it before we had kids though’, she says. ‘My next project is to redesign the whole layout; we need more space now.’ The bar stools were found in Ikea, and the floor tiles are from Tom Doyle Tiles, in Camolin Co. Wexford
