Flying visit
Did you know the world’s steepest zipline is in St Maarten?
Well, now you do. Drop more than 1000ft (305m) down a mountainside as you fly along 2800ft of cable at 56mph (90kmh). The Flying Dutchman, in the Rockland Estate eco-adventure park, serves up bird’s-eye views of St Maarten and its next-door neighbour St Martin, as well as nearby Anguilla, Saba and St Barts. A more leisurely chairlift ride takes you to the top of Sentry Hill from where you embark on an exhilarating 45-second jaunt back to the bottom. The park is built on an old plantation, with buildings dating back to the 1700s.
