Partnerships: to fanciers they usually mean breeder/exhibitor combinations! This week we look at partnerships between birds, which collaborate in all sorts of unpredictable ways, from picking teeth to sounding the alarm. And just as in the birdkeeping world, self-interest plays its part. Elsewhere, we have a strong finchy feel this week, including a preview of a fabulous new mutation of the greenfinch and a profile of a beautiful and underrated parrotfinch.
