Wee toon generosity ‘humbling’ says Kintyre Food Bank as numbers double

CAMPBELTOWN has once again proved what a kind-hearted and generous place it is with support being given to the Kintyre Food Bank.

Maryanne Stewart, who chairs the food bank’s committee, said it was ‘humbling’ how many people give and keep on giving, anonymously, to make sure no-one goes hungry.

She was speaking during a visit by Jeane Freeman MSP, the Scottish Minister for Social Security, to the Kintyre Food Bank premises at The Roading, on Monday. The minister was fulfilling a pre-election invitation made by Mike Russell MSP for Argyll and Bute on behalf of the food bank.
