The Hickmans with their award-winning Bentley
JAMES KNOWLES
I was very interested in Mick Walsh’s article on the Belgian coachbuilder Vesters &Neirinck (From the cockpit, October) because I also have a Bentley with a body by Vesters.
After many years with a Bentley Speed Six, surely WO’s best creation, I decided I should get something more manageable and began the search for a Derby, which, although vastly more modern in design, has much of the appeal of avintage car. Having seen a number in the UK, I found a Vesters &Neirinck cabriolet for sale in Belgium. The car was built on 4¼-litre chassis B137JY and shown at the Brussels motor show in 1938.
