Following the reissue of 2-Tone’s classic Too Much Pressure, Chrysalis turns its attention to The Selecter’s 1981 second outing, Celebrate The Bullet.
Given the blistering vim and biting vigour of the previous offering, album two was a more measured affair. While lyrically holding steadfast to the collective’s commentary on racial and social issues, behind the scenes the band were starting to splinter, following the departure of bassist Charley Anderson and keyboardist Desmond Brown.
