Sammy Hagar says he is grateful to have buried the hatchet with Edward Van Halen shortly before the latter’s death last October. “Poor Eddie. Thank God we connected before [he passed],” Hagar told Variety. “I said: ‘I love you, man’, and it was like, boom, we were good. It was a beautiful thing.”
