Why can’t I write data to my memory stick?
Q One of my memory sticks is warning me that it is ‘write protected’ and I would like to remove this protection. Please can you tell me how to do this. I have tried following tips on the internet but they just baffle me.

A This annoyance sometimes relates to a missing registry value on a PC but, as it’s affecting just one of your sticks, the problem must be with that specific device. We don’t know when or why, but it’s likely that a program you’ve used with the stick has applied a read-only ‘attribute’ to prevent data being accidentally wiped.
