ROYAL TRIBUTE
Shirley Caslick, who lives in Stanthorpe, Queensland, Australia, is proof that the royal family are the perfect subject for cross stitch projects, whether you live in the UK or across the other side of the world! So far she’s stitched up profiles of the Queen Mother and Princess Diana, and plans to complete more this year. “The colour one of Diana was the first one done after she died,” explains Shirley. “The Queen Mum was done in 2002, and the sepia one of Diana, I stitched in 2003 as the design just captured her smile so well. I had a chart of the Queen and charts of William and Harry when younger but haven’t got there yet. I’d like to stitch something for the Jubilee year so I’m looking forward to CrossStitcher’s jubilee sampler (in issue 383). I just think the Queen is just an amazing lady. I pray for her continued good health and I also love William, Kate and Anne.
