Custom Car Magazine May 2024 Back Issue

English
23 Reviews   •  English   •   Aviation & Transport (Automotive)
Only £5.99
The merriment of May is upon us and, if the corresponding issue of Custom Car is anything to go by, we are in for a month full to the front fenders with fun! It’s fresh off the press, so let’s take a peek at what’s in store…

Ever wonder what your retirement might look like? Light lunches in the garden? Plenty of holidays and the odd trip to see the grandkids? How about some nitromethane induced mayhem instead? We talk to Bryan Whitfield, who refused to take ‘staring out of the window until he died’ as a serious option for his retirement and instead hatched a plan with friends to spend his days building and then racing a Nostalgia Fuel Altered.

If you fancy turning green with tiki-themed envy, head to page 24 where we feature yet another returning car from 2002. Must have been something in the water back then, because Head Turner goes above and beyond living up to its name.

If hot rodding started out with young guys bucking the trend, it has to be said that its now older guys following a formed convention. So then, why not inject a little punk into the mix? Neil Hill’s Steampunk themed, scrapheap-salvaged ‘32 is doing just that, and the crowds roll in to see it. Love it or hate it, read all about it in this month’s issue.

The East Side Invitational returned last year for the first time in the UK since 2016. With quality on show around every corner, it was a treat from the moment you stepped inside the new, and hopefully returning, venue. See for yourself the array of awesome autos that were on display from page 50.

A column-crunching line-up of articles, important dates for your diary, news, reviews and much, much more await you between the pages of this month’s Custom Car – get your copy now!
