Classic.Retro.Modern. Magazine  |  March/April 2025
Did you know there are 33 species of seals? Neither did we, but we thought you’d appreciate this ‘fun fact’. And guess what? It’s number 33. Who’d a thought it?
While lacking in walrus, bearded seal or sea lion content – or indeed a kiss from a rose – it does have the small but mighty Suzuki SC100 on the cover. You’d be, ahem, Crazy to miss out on this Killer content. The Whizz Kid is the smallest car to grace our cover and, whisper this, it’s also one of our favourites. Don’t say it too loudly: there’s not a lot of space inside the Suzuki for an inflated ego.
Elsewhere, Tim Pitt enjoys an exclusive drive in the Mythron Cars Healey, Rich Duisberg sends a postcard from New York and a love letter to the AMC Pacer, while Neil Birkitt makes his Classic.Retro.Modern. debut by profiling the Volkswagen 411/412. And if you’re looking to employ the services of an Escort in 2025, Richard Dredge gives it to you straight to ensure you don’t drive home with a dud.
If that’s not enough, we pick some of our favourite 4x4s of the 1980s, break out the Grey Poupon by lauding (and lording?) the Rolls-Royce Silver Seraph, and take a brief look at the MG Midget that might have been. Just a minute, there’s even a photo of Nicholas Parsons with a Sierra XR4x4.
The host of a game show that focused on bargain prices is an opportunity for us to thank you for spending your hard-earned cash on our mag. We know there are many other things battling for your pennies – including other classic car mags – so we appreciate your faith in our bi-monthly publication.
Enjoy the new issue.
