NEW FESTIVAL

What began as a beat generation-inspired stage at Glastonbury is now launching as a festival – happily swapping dubious Somerset weather for the sunny skies of Morocco. Occupying a boutique resort just outside the city, Beat Hotel Marrakech will feature a line-up of live music – some local – and DJs including Gilles Peterson. Spend four days feeding both mind and belly: there will be talks by speakers such as author Irvine Welsh, and food by renowned London grill house Berber & Q.
