How did you get into running?
I never considered myself athletic. It wasn’t until I was in law school that I decided to try a marathon, to give me something to focus on aside from my studies. I thought it would be the ultimate challenge. It was only in crossing the finish line that I realised there was more left in my legs. I had assumed that 42K was the limit of what I could do, and I learned that I was wrong. Over 15 years later, having now run races of up to 450K non-stop, I have realised that we actually don’t know what we are capable of. It’s the search for that limit that I find incredibly exciting.
