Worldly brews
Thanks to some well travelled British brewers, says our award-winning beer writer Mark Dredge, you don’t need to go abroad for a holiday-style lager
Lager is the world’s most global beer and equally its most local. In virtually any country or even city in the world, you’ll find that place’s own lager. We often try these beers when we travel, but we don’t often notice how they come to reflect where they’re made, in their branding (stylish Italian, traditional German, patriotic American), flavour and character.
