With England out of Euro 2012, we’ve got Wimbledon, the Olympics and Paralympics to look forward to, to wave the flag for our country. Will we bomb out like we usually do, or come out on top as the envy of the world? Whatever happens, good or bad, Diesel Car will be in the shops on the 5th July 2012 to give you your diet of diesel news and views.
And here at Diesel Car, we’ve got a landmark to celebrate too. Forget Wimbledon and erase the Olympics and Paralympics from your mind, because we’ve got something a little more exciting going on, and that’s the 300th edition of your favourite magazine. A little over 24 years ago, Diesel Car was born and has now grown into the magnificent title it is today. To celebrate, we’ve given the magazine a fresh new look, including new features, more facts and figures, and some new writers. I’m confident that you’ll like the new look, as it has been created and moulded using suggestions and ideas from our valued readership.
We’ve got the first test of Peugeot’s new 208 on UK roads, and get behind the wheel of the brand new Volvo V40 too. Chrysler’s 300C has now arrived here in the UK, and we’ve been load lugging in Isuzu’s all-new D-Max pick-up. We’ve also pitched BMW’s brand new 3-Series up against its arch enemy, the Audi A4, and Peugeot’s 508 RXH diesel hybrid battles it out with the Audi A4 allroad. To mark our 300th birthday, we’ve got a bumper edition of road tests and we have 30 brand new vehicles on test this month – the most ever in a single edition of Diesel Car.

diesel, green cars, electric mag

The UK’s leading magazine for diesel, green cars, electric, hybrids and alternative fuelled vehicles, full of advice on tech, mechanics, future plans. great photos inspiring reviews Reviewed 21 August 2022

I like the way it has evolved over the years

I have been buying it in print and online since the early 2000s and I like that it always has focused on the economy end of motoring, or us cheapskates if you like. It has moved to covering hybrids and electric cars which is good, and hasn't forgotten its roots - diesels.

It's a friendly, down to early mag and Doctor Diesel is still the best bit.
