I was born in December, surrounded by the season’s sounds, scents, textures and colours. My body’s earliest memories are of long, dark winter nights and starry skies. Frosty mornings catching my breath on cold air, which turned to mist as I exhaled. Seeing the thin sunshine in the bright sky. All these things, from moment to moment, created my first senses of this world: my beginning.
