Born Kawennáhere Devery Jacobs and raised on Kahnawà:ke Mohawk Territory in Québec, Canada, 25-year-old Devery Jacobs’ given name, Kawennáhere, directly translates as “her word is above”.
Thankfully for us lot, this freshfaced, queer creative is well on her way to having an international platform to shout her good word from, as she makes waves both on and off screen.
Currently based between Toronto and LA, Jacobs hits our screens this spring as Sam Black Crow in the second season of Amazon Prime hit series and adaptation, American Gods.
