Nuts!
HAVE YOU EVER BOUGHT a bag of nuts and then wondered about the label on the packet that reads: “Warning! May Contain Nuts”.
No sh*t, Sherlock, you might be thinking.
Then there’s the lid of your take-away coffee cup that warns you that there is hot liquid inside. Well, duh. Let’s hope so.
Of course there’s a reason for this. Litigation. Anybody supplying any kind of goods or services is obliged to try to protect you from every imaginable risk. Including warning you of those risks posed by your own idiotic behaviour.
