Swedish photographer Alex Dawson has a distinctive style – he discusses it with

THE BIGGEST ADVANTAGE of photographing wrecks? “Well, you always know they’ll be there,” says Alex Dawson. Capturing vast underwater caves, bonechilling wreck-sites and fjords hundreds of metres deep and awash with icebergs takes dedication, and this Swedish underwater photographer is that kind of person.
Since 1993, when he was 19, his life has revolved around scuba-diving and a passion to share his experiences with the world.
Photographing wrecks is a pastime that has a charm all its own, and over the course of his career Dawson has dived numerous locations, although he says that the most memorable dive remains his descent to the Aachen in the frigid waters of the Baltic Sea.
