Bonnie Langford and Richard Dempsey are among those celebrating the music of Stephen Sondheim in Stephen Sondheim’s Old Friends at the Gielgud Theatre, London. Both will appear in selected performances throughout the run 16 September 2023 to 6 January 2024.
Jemma Redgrave is to play Professor George Grey in Octopolis at the Hampstead Theatre, London. Behavioural biologist Professor Grey’s world is torn apart when an ambitious anthropologist enters her life, following the recent death of her husband. The production runs 15 September to 28 October.
John Barrowman returns to the stage in Dreamcoat Stars which celebrates the music of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Barrowman will be part of the show for three dates in October at Folkestone, Swansea and Stoke-on-Trent, saying “Having played the role of Joseph many decades ago I’m extremely excited to join Dreamcoat Stars”.
John Simm in the latest series of BBC comedy Starstruck.
Matt Lucas joins those taking part in the Schwartz at 75 concerts at the Lyric Theatre, London. The concerts celebrate the music of Broadway composer Stephen Schwartz and takes place at 14:30 and 19:00 on 17 September.
