Autumn is here and script editor Scott Handcock reveals how as the 60th anniversary approaches the Doctor Who team are getting busier and busier.
Tuesday 15 August
Middle of the month and we receive first draft scripts of Block Two’s second episode and Block Three’s third (shooting out of order); our Block One director officially starts work in Wolf Studios; and two Doctor Who writers and a script editor accidentally collide at Cardiff Central. Confusion ensues! (Only one of them was there for a meeting…)
Wednesday 16 August
Executive producers Russell T Davies and Phil Collinson meet with me and coproducer Sharon King for a TOTT Kick-Off Meeting (enjoy the acronym). We also receive a third draft of Block Four’s second episode.
