We love K9. There’s probably a percentage of fandom for whom this page is absolute sacrilege; a lot of those who grew up watching the lovable robot dog absolutely adore him. Created by Bob Baker and Dave Martin in 1977, he was a hit when he made his return alongside Sarah Jane in 2006’s School Reunion. Given his design – cutting edge in the year 5000! – and his distinctive voice (John Leeson, and briefly, David Brierley), he’s one of the true icons of Doctor Who. But, naturally, this innovative creation had a few shortcomings…
