To find out how Rob Savage, the director of Host, is following up his Zoom-brewed, lockdown horror hit — the first of a three-picture deal he’s signed with Blumhouse Productions, the people behind The Purge, Get Out and The Invisible Man. While still a pandemic-related, found-footage affair (swapping video chat for an iPhone livestream), Dashcam sees Savage operating on a bigger, gorier scale. “It’s just like Host, except there’s more sticky blood!” he grins.
