A 600-plus lot single-owner sale of items from a large Lancashire estate will go under the hammer in the new year at Thomson Roddick on January 16 in Carlisle.
Among the lots, which include pottery and porcelain, militaria, paintings, bronzes, wine and furniture, is this 5ft 11in (1.80m) high pair of George III mahogany wine cisterns with pineapple finials on cupboard stands. They were acquired in 1965 from antique dealer Denys Wrey of Sloane Street, London.
