In April 2017 we ran a story on the courthouse in the West Yorkshire town of Pontefract in which plans had been accepted by Wakefield Council to create an antiques market at the 200-year-old building.
The premises had at the time been standing empty for four years.
Those plans are now a reality and the Magistrates Market was set to open on January 2. The site was purchased in 2016 by businessman Philip Weatherell’s investment company in Harrogate.
