Remarkably, to these ears at least, that’s exactly what Future Past delivered, a wonderful balancing act where the band nodded respectfully to their pomp years but also absorbed exciting contemporary influences. Their well-chosen collaborators (Tove Lo and Giorgio Moroder among them) spanned the generations – it’s a triumph.
