Ready for a bit of go-kart action!

Do you know what is a really, really scary experience? Taking a Superbike around a go-kart circuit, that’s what!

As restrictions around the country began to ease, the team and myself were looking into ways of getting on track as soon as possible. Track days were booked up almost instantly and despite us being able to get a cheeky space on one or two, we knew that it would be difficult to get any real running, with them being so busy.

So as a first jaunt out, the PBM team booked the private use of Teesside Autodrome. ‘Mega idea’, was my first thought, as I’ve ridden there before on a Supermoto bike and know it well, as it’s one of the biggest and best tracks for SM in the country. However, it seems I wildly underestimated just how small a circuit becomes on a bike putting out over 200bhp instead of around 65.
