’m just home from a lovely holiday. The sun was shining, the boat was good, and we drank and ate and did all the things you’re supposed to do when you get away. I even managed some cycling, so that was nice. I watched Oulton Park BSB while I was over there and that was wild, wasn’t it... a lot of crashing and bashing and a massive shake-up championship-wise. I really do feel for Jason though, and the abuse he’s received from so-called bike fans has been disgusting. Anyone who has ridden Oulton Park to any kind of standard will know how fast it is into Druids, and if you’re trying to line up a pass at the last corner (which I am sure he was), then you set it up by taking a slightly different line at Druids. And then with Taz breaking his leg, McAMS Yamaha go from having a brilliant year to it all turning to sh*t… it will be interesting to see if the showdown system continues in the future.
