People ask why I did this to an 899, but the biggest track anywhere near me is only 2.6km long, so it was more fun to go for a middle-sized bike than an 11 or 1299. On the 899 it’s all open, so a lot more constant fun! I have asked myself why I’ve gone so mad, though it had quite a few Ducati Performance parts on it already when I bought it. I also saw the potential to be unlocked by saving weight, so I had an idea that if I got to 160kg with enough fuel for a session around the track, that’d do the job.
