She’s a chunky girl!
There is something strangely alluring about the Triumph 955i that is hard to put your finger on. It could be the price; armed with £2,500 you can easily snap up a really good condition example of this early 2000s sportsbike. Maybe it’s the fact it says Triumph on its tank that adds a bit of the feel-good factor.
It’s probably not the styling, which is a touch on the dated side, and it is certainly not the hideous Union flag nose decal that some machines came adorned with. The wonderful triple engine certainly plays its part in adding charm, but with only just over 130bhp it’s not even close to its Japanese inline-four rivals in terms of outright performance. So just what makes this British sportsbike so appealing? It’s a combination of all of the above…
